The Dakota Ultrasonics Mini-Max Ultrasonic Bolt Tension Monitor measures the actual elongation produced by tightening a threaded fastener. The Mini-Max enables you to monitor your bolts during periodic shutdowns so you can accurately identify loaded and unloaded waveforms of virtually any material from 1/2 inch to 8 feet in length.
The MINI-MAX determines the length of the fastener through the change in the transit time of an ultrasonic shock wave across the length of the fastener, regardless of tightening method. Measurements are displayed in time (nanoseconds), elongation, load, stress, or percent strain. The digital and automated diagnostics are intuitive and minimize the requirement for significant operator training.
The Dakota Ultrasonic Mini-Max allows you to visually compare your results in an intuitive and easy-to-use, menu driven 1/8 inch VGA display with 240 x 160 pixel resolution. The Mini-Max stores up to 8,000 readings and waveforms in multiple groups and offers built-in linear regression or vector for optimizing load measurements.
The Mini-Max also has an auto-set feature that automatically optimizes detection and adjusts the display. There are also hi/lo alarm tolerance limits that work in conjunction with the data port and external pump shut-off device.
The Dakota Ultrasonics Mini-Max ships with built-in data recordation and supporting DakView utility software for Windows PC & MAC OSX, and is a field-tested solution for the most difficult bolting problems.
When purchasing this instrument, please be sure to select the transducers that best meet your measurement requirements.
