    Description




    The Dakota BT Bolt Tension Monitor employs ultrasound to accurately measure various parameters including fastener elongation, time (in nanoseconds), load, stress, and percent strain. When nuts and bolts are tightened under load, the nut's action increases the force on the bolt, causing it to elongate.

    Unlike standard torque measurement methods affected by temperature, friction, and resistance, ultrasonic technology used in bolt tension monitors ensures precise measurements. The Dakota BT1-DL Bolt Tension Monitor achieves accuracy within 0.0001 mm (0.00001 inch).

    Additionally, the gauge features a USB interface and optional shut-off accessory, allowing it to be programmed to automatically halt the tightening process once the desired load is reached.
