The Magnaflux C-Series stationary power packs are designed for testing on larger or heavier parts that standard MPI units are unable to test. The high magnetizing current coupled with minimal power requirements make the C-Series a great low cost option with expanded MPI abilities. The CSV Series, CMD Series and CD Series are all products within the C-Series.
The CSV Series provide three phase full wave DC (FWDC) output which helps make processing time faster. The pulse feature also makes larger areas more accessible. Other features include multi vector capability, three independent outputs and current controls, large display meters, ultra low frequency for reversing DC demag, 100% solid state circuitry, one to four selectable pulses, 1 to three selectable vectors, modular PLC, two year parts and labor warranty and a five year frame warranty.
Additional options for the CSV Series include demag on circuits 2 and 3, remote mount operator interface (with pedestal), key pad entry, visual and audible current alarms, reminder alerts, alarm log, security passwords and 50 customer receipts.
Units that fall under the CSV Series include the CSV-10 (10,000 amps), CSV-15 (15,000 amps) and the CSV-20 (20,000 amps).
The CMD Series are multi-directional stationary power packs which can be integrated with custom handling equipment or can upgrade older wet horizontal units. The CMD Series can come with 2 or 3 outputs.
Other features for the CMD Series include optional demag, two independently variable current controls, color operator interface, visual and audible current alarms, alarm log, digital displays, keypad entry, daily reminder alarms, multi-lingual, 50 customer receipts and an automatic piece parts counter. The duty cycle is .5 seconds on and 10 seconds off. The voltage available is either 230 or 460 with a peak current of either 240 or 120 amps.
The CD stationary power pack units are for parts that are too large for more traditional wet horizontal units and create high currents with minimal power.
Features for the CD Series include optional demag-reversing DC, optional AC output, current assurance indicator, digital ammeter display, sturdy flat top, ergonomic display and control panel, remote mag receptacle, dual 115 volt accessory outlets, PLC control, modular digital solid state circuitry, quick break circuitry and liquid resistant panels. The duty cycle is .5 seconds on and 10 seconds off while the three phase power can be either 230 or 460 volts. The peak current is 200/100 amps and the recommended fuse is 125/60 amps, slow blow.
Parts requiring special handling can count on Magnaflux C-Series Stationary Power Packs for MPI processing.
Magnaflux CSV, CMD and CD-Series stationary power packs help facilitate testing of large and heavy parts or parts that cannot be accommodated by traditional MPI units.
Providing high magnetizing current with minimal power requirement the C-Series offers expanded MPI capabilities on a low-cost operating platform.
CSV Series
Magnaflux understands some parts will not lend themselves to traditional units. Some of these parts are too large, some need special handling, some are better processed dry. The Magnaflux Stationary Power Pack Series (CSV, CMD and CD Power Packs) offers a solution to the parts that are too large for normal systems. Three independent outputs to help speed processing time and a pulse feature to allow development of larger areas. These units feature 3 phase rectified to FWDC output. The CSV units are the most economical way to create a high magnetizing current with minimal power requirements
