The Foerster SIGMATEST 2.069 Eddy Current Conductivity Meter is a portable material testing device for determining the electrical conductivity of non-ferromagnetic metals, including aluminum, copper, nickel, zinc, titanium, among others. It determines physical and technical material properties and is usually used in applications for evaluating the quality of manufactured products, testing material composites, sorting metals, alloys, and scrap metal. It comes as a kit with either an 8 mm or 14 mm straight probe or 14mm angled probe.
Measurement & Standards
The SIGMATEST is a highly sensitive and well-rounded instrument using five different excitation frequencies at 60, 120, 240, 480, 960 kHz. It offers a high degree of measuring accuracy and reliability of results and can be calibrated to IACS with conductivity certificates traceable to PTB and NIST. Operating at a high frequency of 960 kHz, it can measure thin materials with precision. The integrated temperature compensation standardizes measured values of electrical conductivity to 20°C.
SIGMATEST Applications
The SIGMATEST determines both physical and technical material properties of test objects in quality assurance applications. It can also test materials that are in post-production that require analysis of their metallurgical properties, including:
