NewSonic Short Barrel Handheld UCI Hardness Measurement Probe Long Thin Version (NS-SLONG-THIN-HH-PROBE)

The Short Barrel Long Thin Handheld Probes from New Sonic are the right solution for quick measurements for a breadth of different measurement points. These probes are reliable and provide accurate measurements for hardness testing. The Short Barrel Long Thin version of the handheld probe enables you to reach difficult measurement positions, like challenging material geometries such as at the base of gear teeth or similar where other long and short probes cannot reach. The Short Barrel Long Thin probe is 179 mm, with its counterpart measuring 212.9 mm.

The probes are ideal for general, handheld testing procedures for production, maintenance and quality assurance. Material hardness is tested using the Ultrasonic Contact Impedance (UCI) method. Ensure you have a probe for every hardness application you may have with your SonoDur 3. The Short Barrel Long Thin Handheld Probes expand the capabilities of the Sonodur3 as well as the SonoDur2 and the SonoDur-R 'Rack' and can be setup with most devices using a standard USB interface. 

All of NewSonic's short barrel and regular long thin handheld measurement probes are designed to be highly accurate and guarantee repeatable results that will remain stable over a long period. The long thin handheld measurement probes can measure hardness on metal, industrial ceramic and, depending on the circumstance, highly heterogeneous materials, such as cast iron (spheroidal graphite cast iron GGG50). Measurements include the entire range of the traditional Vickers hardness scale.
