The Gould-Bass SD-201 Shot Duration Timer measures the time it takes AC or DC magnetizing currents to flow through the test part. Ideal for use on magnetic particle inspection machines, the hand-held SD-201 measures the actual length of time it takes the magnetizing current to flow through the test part where other timers can only sense the contact closure time or the internal machine timer setting.
The SD-201 also features a liquid crystal display that can report current flow duration from 0 to 999.999 milliseconds with an accuracy within 0.2%. To provide optimum defect indications, the Shot Duration Timer measures the actual output current flow time to assure test parts receive the correct duration of magnetizing current flow.
