The Magnaflux P-70 Portable Power Pack is a member of Magnaflux’s P-Series of portable power packs. These portable power packs are designed for use with very large or heavy parts or on the job inspections.
The P-Series power packs are able to detect surface defects using AC current or half wave DC (HWDC) current using prods, central conductors or coils to find defects in any direction. They can demagnetize parts in AC mode by turning the current dial to zero. They also have a built-in automatic reset circuit breaker and have infinitely variable current control. The system can be used as a power source for Magnaflux MAG KIT modular bench systems.
The P-70 Power Pack comes with a maximum output of 750 amps (AC or HWDC), line current of 26 amps at 115 VAC or 13 amps at 230 VAC and a current input single phase of 115 VAC, 50/60 Hz or 230 VAC, 50/60 Hz with other voltages available. The unit weighs in at 35 lbs and has a length of 17 ½”, a width of 9” and a height of 7 ½”.
