    Description

The Foerster Koerzimat 1.097 MS Measuring System is a measuring system for the precise, geometry-independent measurement of weight-specific saturation polarization σs and the volume-specific saturation polarization Js. Volume-specific saturation polarization Js correlate to a variety of important process parameters and material properties. Koerzimat Measuring Systems are ideal for labs and researching facilities performing a variety of content determination, metal testing, and quality control inspections.

Software controls individual and series of measurements, with a database for collecting the data and saving parameter sets. Control this light weight and compact system with a PC. The withdrawal method is in accordance with IEC 60404-14. Hard metal testing is according to ASTM B886.

Measurement is automatic, economic, and geometry-independent, utilizing a strong permanent magnet (Halbach array). Determine weight or volume-specific saturation polarization, magnetic dipole moment j, theoretic magnetic phase of high-alloy steels, and more with the Koerzimat MS permanent magnet. Measuring systems are available in two dimensions: 26x60 or 31x69.

    Applications

    • Research and development of new alloys and magnetic materials
    • Determination of the theoretic magnetic phase of alloy steel according to Hoselitz
    • Determination of the saturation polarization Js in Tesla for soft magnetic components designed for magnetic circuits
    • Determination of carbon content (Eta-Phase) in hard metals
    • Determination of the free iron, cobalt or nickel content in metal powder or hard metals

    Features

    • Fast and precise measuring
    • Geometry-independent measuring
    • High sensitivity for small test specimens
    • Automatic slide compensation
    • Loading and fitting of the test specimen by test inserts
    • Calibration traceable to national standards (PTB)
