    Description

EchoTherm™ Extreme is the first and only ultra-high-temperature thickness gauging and corrosion testing couplant that can be used at temperatures ranging from -40°F to 1250°F (-40°C to 675°C). It will not auto-ignite for temperatures below 1300°F.

EchoTherm Extreme is ideal for port inspections which often need couplants with no set operating range, no residue, less smoke and no auto-ignition under 1300°F.

EchoTherm Extreme does not have a low operating limit, the product performs as a high-performance ultrasonic couplant from below -40°F/C to above 1250°F (675°C).

EchoTherm Extreme stops potential industrial accidents and personnel risk due to auto-ignition events due to its high threshold for high-temperature ultrasonic inspections.

EchoTherm Extreme couplant has a high acoustic impedance intended to optimize sound transmission and reduce surface "acoustic noise".

EchoTherms Extreme's small mass requirement for ultrasonic thickness gauging, its slow rate of heat-related decomposition along with local ventilation, suggest there are no anticipated health hazards related to the vaporized and thermal decomposed product.

EchoTherm Extreme is Teflon free and is not likely to cause "polymer plume fever."

    Specs

    Specifications:
    • Operating Range: -40 to 1250°F+ (-40 to 675°C)
    • Auto Ignition Temperature: greater than 1300ºF
    • Viscosity: thick paste
    • * Test by John A. Kennedy & Assoc., ASTM E659-14
If ultrasound thickness gauging or corrosion testing is performed in a potentially flammable or explosive atmosphere, EchoTherm Extreme is recommended as the only couplant that will not auto ignite under 1300ºF.
