Berg Magnetic Flux Indicator Strips - Packs of 5 (BE-FLUX-STRIPS)

Berg Magnetic Flux Strips* (also known as Castrol Strips) Type I (General**) and Type II (Aircraft), are easy to implement, cost useful tool that provides you with an effective magnetic particle test.

The Magnetic Flux Strips will aid you in confirming that all required testing parameters are appropriate, including:

• Lighting
• Field strength and direction
• Sufficient magnetic particle properties 
• Coverage is sufficient to find surface cracks equal or larger size than those built into the strip

Each Magnetic Flux Strip has three milled slots with widths of .0075", .009" and .010" and have the same depth. The Magnetic Field Flux Strips can work in web and dry MPI applications and are made from permeable magnetic steel between brass plates.

The Magnetic Flux Strips work with fluorescent, wet visible (black & white), dry particles (with or without contrast) and can be applied using AC, FWDC an HWDC magnetization, with either longitudinal or circular fields. 

The Magnetic Flux Strips can show sensitivity differences between these methods and to develop magnetizing techniques that assure complete coverage.

Meets ASTM E 1444-11, Annex A3 specifications.

* These were known as "Burmah-Castrol" Strips. They are a form of Q.Q.I. and can replace "pie" gauges.
