Sherwin Magnetic Particle Products

Berg offers magnetic particle products from Sherwin.  Dry particle inspection involves using a powder on the surface of the material being tested while it is being magnetized.  The powder will cluster around areas where there is magnetic flux leakage.  Wet magnetic inspection works in a similar way, just with a liquid instead of a powder.  Wet inspection is better for finding small defects on surfaces than dry inspections because the surfaces are easier to cover with a liquid and liquid carriers provide more time for the particles to cluster than in dry inspections.
