    Description

The NewSonic SonoDur2 UCI Hardness Tester with Data Logger and Data Export utilizes manual or motorized probes to test the hardness of manufactured serial parts after heat treatment, welds, coatings and is used in applications after surface processing. The SonoDur2 is the latest model of the SonoDur and is the replacement of GE's MIC 10 and MIC 20 series UCI hardness testers. The SonoDur2 makes rapid hardness measurements using a Vickers diamond and is applied in manufacturing, production and quality assurance. EN ISO 18265 material tables come with the unit. Meets ASTM A1038. The Vickers diamonds testing pressure is digitally displayed and refreshed after each measurement.

The SonoDur2's intuitive menu system enables reassessments for other hardness scales and adheres to other applicable standards or the particular probe in use. The unit also features recognition and test controls with calibration, material reassessment table, time of probe penetration, operator name and tolerance thresholds.

The SonoDur2 is kept up-to-date with free updates made available from NewSonic.

Wide-range testing ability: The SonoDur2 makes it possible to measure soft aluminum (20HB) to harder metals (approx. 1600HV) using a probe.

Usable probes: The device operates with manual and motorized measurement probes with test forces between 1N and 100N, as well as long probes for testing applications for areas that are difficult to reach.

Integrated memory: The unit comes with 4GB of memory (can be expanded to 32GB) to offer enough storage space to store an almost limitless number of measurements. Transmitting data can be accomplished via USB making documentation simple and easy. The unit can also connect through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
